Let me lead with this, we closed with the highest price in our area for comparable homes over the last 6 months during a very uncertain economy, political craziness, a buyer's market and competition with low-priced homes. No biggie.

My housemate and I were looking to sell our condo in Hayward and stopped by a nearby open house and that's where we met Ben. This was our first home, and we put a lot of love into it to upgrade and customize it to be the best living and workspace for us. Even though we weren't potential buyers of that home, he freely gave us his time and knowledge. Ben is very down-to-earth and gave us sound advice. Our condo's HOA had been in litigation with the builder Taylor Morrison, which was due to be closed soon so he gave us his contact and advised us to call him back when we were ready to sell. We checked out the Paras Team online and everything looked professional, clean and spoke of experience and an awareness of the times.

When time came to sell we connected with Ben and he quickly set up time to meet at our home with Renee to do a walkthrough. Funny thing is, Ben represented the sellers who we bought from! From repairs, staging, and moving up the timeline with vendors to prepare our home to show, the Paras Team was on it. Very quickly we had lots of interest in our home and a potential buyer. The buyer's agent was their mother for whom being a realtor was not a full-time job. She required a lot of assistance and Ben was more than gracious to offer his help.

Unfortunately, we ran into some huge obstacles due to our HOA having been in litigation. Although it was formally closed, our home was still showing up on the no lend list with Fannie Mae. The first lender needed very specific information regarding the litigation, and our HOA was not willing/able to respond. After several attempts and no response, the buyers trusted Ben to switch to another lender. We were nervous as we saw homes popping up listed a lot lower than ours. However, Ben calmed our nerves and was extremely patient with all our texts and questions. He led us all through another minor hiccup with the HOA (yay for HOAs) and we eventually closed!

We want to give Ben the biggest shoutout for his genuine presence through it all. I know it's probably expected, but even after your typical business hours, Ben worked to help us and answer our questions. So, we also wanted to give a big thank you to Renee and his family. We would happily work with Paras team again and would recommend them to our friends without hesitation. Thank you Ben, Renee, Trang, Essy and whoever else we may have missed!

Ben + The Paras Team = THE DREAM TEAM! My husband and I first reached out to Ben back in 2020 right in the middle of the pandemic. We wanted to take advantage of the low interest rates and hopefully make a change for our growing family. Upon our first interaction with Ben, we gave him a rundown of our list in order for us to make our move happen. We basically wanted a single-family home in a new build that fit our timeline so that we could sell our current home and then seamlessly move into our new home so that we were not displaced, since we have 2 small kids.

Ben was open and honest with us from the jump, he told us that it wouldn’t be easy and in order for it to happen “The stars really needed to align.” We let him know that we weren’t in a hurry and that we were ok where we were at for the time being, but if the right house came along and it was the right situation, we would be open. We agreed to set up an automated search and keep in touch.

Fast forward to October 2021, we found a new home community that seemed to be a good fit. We reached out to Ben again and he was on it! He contacted the sales rep for the community and got us in for an appointment opening weekend. The day of our appointment, we went to see the home and it checked all of our boxes! We secured the last home available in that release and went into contract! Easy, right? NO! In order for us to get into the new home, we would need to sell our current home - get into contract in 30 days and then close in 30 days. That’s when Ben and his team really jumped into high gear and made everything happen for us. Ben and his talented wife and designer, Renee came out to our home to see what needed to be done so that the home was market ready, the repairs that needed to be done they took care of using their vendors and they were done by that weekend. They then got our house on the market the following Monday. They had an open house on Saturday and Sunday and the home was in contract by Wednesday. We thought it was smooth sailing after that, but unfortunately real estate is unpredictable. Long story short, the deal on our current home fell apart on New Year’s Eve due to a non-performing buyer and a shady lender on the buyer’s side. We were so stressed, we didn’t know what we were going to do… but that’s when Ben worked his magic… a couple hours after the first deal fell apart, Ben contacted us and told us he had landed another buyer at a higher price + he worked it out so that we would be able to stay in our current home until our new home closed so that we would not be displaced. SCORE!

We have now sold our home and are in our new home and we couldn’t be happier!! The stars aligned for us, thanks to Ben and his team!

If you are looking for a realtor, Ben is it! In my opinion he is the epitome of the perfect realtor! He is responsive and super knowledgeable, any question we asked him, he had an answer. Ben is transparent and straight forward and he always has his client’s best interest at heart. Now that this process is over, it will be weird to not speak to him every week… he’s so open, honest, and friendly that it’s like you’re talking to a friend that you’ve known for years! There aren’t enough good things that I can say about him and his team! But let me finish this off by saying, I don’t normally write reviews… but my husband and I were beyond pleased, and Ben and his team really deserved this review!

Even now, post-buying, Ben remains available if we need him (and we’ve certainly called and he answered kindly).
